How To Clean A Stainless Steel Kitchen Sink

  • Shower the sink with hot water, wash it thoroughly.
  • Sprinkle some baking soda all over the sink and leave it that way for about an hour.
  • Get a sponge and wet it with cold water. Use the sponge to scrub the sink, sprinkled previously with baking soda. Wash off the sink properly underrunning cold water.
  • Take a small quantity of vinegar and pour it on the sponge. Rub the sink again. When done, shower the whole sink again with cold water. Vinegar helps getting rid of the water spots and tough stains that were not cleared away by the baking soda.
  • Mop the sink with a cleanser.
  • Wash the sink thoroughly with water. Make sure that you wash off the cleanser properly, as there may appear spots on drying.
  • Dry the sink carefully with a clean bathroom towel. Get it ready to be polished.
  • To polish the sink, use a delicate, lint free cloth. Keep polishing until your kitchen sink becomes shiny.

  • While cleaning the sink, it is recommendable to put on gloves, so that the products you usedo no damage to the skin of your hands.
  • Olive oil and club soda are other substances that have effect in removing stains or spots from stainless steel sink.
  • Another way to clean the sink with baking soda, except for sprinkling, is to dissolve 2 teaspoons of baking soda in a glass of warm water , wet a sponge with the resulting solution and rub the sink with circular motions. The effect is the same.
