- Take a clean, white cloth and blot the stained area with it, immediately after the spill takes place.

- Take a mug and put one cup lukewarm water in it. Add one teaspoon clear, mild liquid dishwashing detergent.

- Take 2/3 cup lukewarm water and add 1/3 cup white vinegar to it. Using this mixture, sponge the stained area again.
